When do the festival campgrounds open?

Reservoir Hill campgrounds open for vehicle pass holders at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 9, 2022. Camper check-ins will take place exclusively at the lower box office on Hot Springs Blvd. on Friday, June 9 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Only on-site festival & camping pass holders and volunteers with a camping upgrade will be allowed on Reservoir Hill on Friday, June 9 before 3:00 PM. Foot traffic will be allowed on Friday at 1:00 pm in order to allow campsites to be chosen on a first come, first served basis by those who have waited in line for two days prior to the opening of the gates.

I don't have a vehicle pass and will be tent camping. Can I drive my stuff up, drop it off and drive back down the hill?

No, due to controlled one-way traffic, only vehicles with a vehicle pass will be allowed to enter the Reservoir Hill festival grounds. We will run a free camping shuttle Friday, June 9 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The shuttle will meet you at your car in the parking lot on Hot Springs Blvd., then take you and all your camping gear up to Reservoir Hill's Vehicle-Free camping area. Everyone using the camping shuttle must have a 3-Day Festival & Camping ticket.

 

What if I can't arrive during those times?

You'll need to purchase a vehicle pass or plan ahead and have a friend with a vehicle pass take your gear for you. You could also pack light and take your stuff up on a regular festival shuttle.

If I have a Friday only or regular 3-day pass, when and where can I get my wristband?

Regular 3-day and Friday-only pass holders may pick up wristbands and enter the venue beginning at 3:00 PM (two hours prior to showtime) on Friday, June 9. Walk or take the shuttle to the upper box office on Reservoir Hill to receive your festival wristband. The lower box office is only for camper check-in and will not be equipped to help non-campers.

Where do I park and how do I get to the festival if I'm not camping?

Non-campers will be directed to a parking area by the Colorado Mounted Patrol volunteers and can choose to either walk or take a FREE festival shuttle. There is typically no more than a 10 minute wait, so you should get from your car to Reservoir Hill in less than 20 minutes. There are several free parking areas and a couple of privately-owned paid lots close to Reservoir Hill. The shuttle will drop you off right at the box office where you can purchase a ticket or pick up your wristband.

What can I bring into the festival venue?

You may bring lawn chairs, tarps, blankets and coolers (no glass or alcohol) into the festival. If you bring shade tarps or canopies, you must set them up where you will not obstruct others' views behind you. Drinks (non-alcoholic only) must be factory-sealed and refillable water containers must be brought in empty. There is a free filtered water station just inside the main venue gate.

What can I NOT bring to the festival venue?

Your household pet (service animals as defined by the ADA are allowed), fireworks, firearms and other weapons, alcoholic beverages, frisbees, hula hoops and other objects that could hurt people in a crowded environment are not allowed. Hula hoops are allowed in the campground.

Does my child need a ticket?

Children 12 and under get free admission when accompanied by an adult. Children who are old enough to be mobile will be given a wristband when you check in.

Can a multiple day pass be split between different attendees?

No, you'll get a non-transferable and non-replaceable wristband on your first day of attendance. 

​

Do you have recycling at the festival?

Yes, #1 and #2 plastics with no lids, glass, aluminum and cardboard. Please rinse your items to the best of your ability. We encourage you to REDUCE your waste by reusing plates, cups, utensils, etc.

What can I buy at the festival?

There will be a variety of food vendors on site, some serving breakfast, and some staying open late at night. Ice is available for purchase on site. Beer and wine will be available for purchase by individuals 21 and over. Alcoholic beverages must be consumed inside the fenced venue, and may not be brought in from or taken out to the campgrounds. There will also be vendors selling clothing, jewelry, toys, art and fun festival accessories and the Festival Mercantile with festival merch and artist CDs.

Do I have to bring my own chair?

You can but you don't have to. There is general admission seating under the festival tent for 1000 people and a huge meadow behind where you can stretch out in the sun or set your chairs up. We raise the front of the tent so people all the way back have a view of the stage. You may use only low-back chairs in the front two thirds of the meadow; if you have standard lawn chairs you'll need to sit in the back where you won't obstruct anyone's view. In order to make the experience great for our musicians, we do not allow seats in the tent to go empty for more than 15 minutes into a set. Unattended chairs will be cleared. We don't want any of our musicians to play to a half-full house because people are saving their seats for the "headliners." Please be considerate. Cleared items will be available in Lost & Found in the Security Camp.

What if I have a medical emergency?

We have trained medical personnel on site to deal with minor medical issues. PLEASE remember to bring your medically necessary prescriptions. Basic over-the-counter meds (aspirin, ibuprofen, acetaminophen, antacids, etc.) can be purchased at the festival mercantile.

Is there a place to charge my cellphone?

Yes, we have a free cellphone charging station located at the dining tent near the food court. KSUT is not responsible for unattended items.

​

Will the show be cancelled due to bad weather?​

This is a rain or shine event, so bring your rain gear just in case -- better to be safe than sorry! And don't forget your sunscreen. This time of year it's best to bring layers -- we can go from the 40s in the morning to the low 80s by afternoon.

Can I get a refund on my ticket(s)?

Refunds (less a service fee) can be issued through April 30, 2023. After that date, refunds can't be given for any reason. Tickets may be sold and/or transferred; email us the order number so that we can change the name on the order to that of the new ticket-holder.

Festival Policies

• 24-hour Security - our security staff is on call 24 hours. Please use the call button (door bell) at the entrance to the security compound after hours. If you have a security issue that is NOT life-threatening, please do not dial 911; our excellent security crew is on site and here to help you.

• Campfires - Only propane fire pits and fireplaces are allowed in festival camping. Wood burning campfires are prohibited. Propane lanterns, grills and cookstoves are permitted.

• Be considerate of your neighbors. There are no designated quiet/family camping areas on Reservoir Hill. While pickin' is allowed 24 hours a day, loud singing, playing and partying is not permitted between the hours of 2 AM and 7 AM. The campground is for everyone -- families, staff, volunteers and pickers alike -- and the quiet hours exist for the benefit of all.  

• Please, be a responsible alcohol consumer. Do not leave alcohol and/or unsecured coolers containing alcoholic beverages around your campsite. Unsecured alcohol will be confiscated by security. This is a family festival and kids of all ages are present. Take responsibility for what you bring. 

• No dogs or pets (other than service animals as defined by the ADA) allowed on Reservoir Hill during the event.

• No firearms on Reservoir Hill 

• No weapons inside the venue

• Valid wristbands must be worn at all times on Reservoir Hill. Wristbands are invalid if stretched or removed and will not be replaced.

• No glass containers in festival venue

• Factory-sealed beverages and empty water bottles may be brought into the venue. Free filtered water is available at the food court.

• No alcohol may be brought into fenced venue areas. Beer and wine may be purchased and consumed in the venue. Backpacks, bags & coolers brought into the venue are subject to search.

• Smoking in designated areas only inside the venue. Look for the marked EZ Up tents.

• Please keep track of your children’s whereabouts. Parents/guardians will be held financially and legally responsible for any vandalism, theft or other unlawful acts committed by minors. All campers under the age of 18 must have a supervising guardian or parent on site. 

• No non-festival amplified music on festival grounds, including campgrounds. 

• Generator use is prohibited in the campground. No fireworks.

• Hula hoops, frisbees and other rigid objects that could cause physical injury may not be used inside the festival venue.

• No standing at the back of the tent - dancing areas are to the sides.

• Please pick up trash around you when leaving the concert area and campground.

• Seats left unoccupied under the tent for more than 15 minutes into a set will be cleared. Items can be retrieved in the security camp. No saving of festival chairs under the tent. If you go to dance, please allow others to sit by placing your items under the chair. When you return, please be respectful when reclaiming your seat. There’s no need for conflict among friends.

• Please secure your valuables in camp.  KSUT Presents is not responsible for lost or stolen items. (See Security to inquire about Lost or Found items)

• Only low chairs and tarps/blankets are allowed in the central meadow. Full size chairs may be used behind the line. Shade structures may be used at the sides and back of the meadow behind the paths. No hammocks in the meadow.

• No refunds for any reason. Rain or shine event.
