On-Site
Camping
Campground opens on Friday, June 4 at 11:00 AM. Plan to come early and enjoy the free concert in Town Park on Friday evening from 5:00 to 8:00. Anyone entering Reservoir Hill on Friday, June 4 age 13 and over must have an on-site camping festival pass. You will need to also purchase a vehicle pass if you are planning to drive into the campground. If you don't want to spend the 30 bucks, you can backpack your gear up or have a friend with a vehicle pass take your stuff up in their car. There is no provision for driving in and dropping off your gear; the road to Reservoir Hill cannot handle the additional up and down traffic.
Potable
water and porta-johns are provided. Showers are available for a fee below the site at one of Pagosa's two public hot springs.
Campfires will be allowed on Reservoir Hill if there are no county fire restrictions in place at the time of the festival. Campfires must be in a metal container and off the ground. Propane stoves and charcoal grills are fine. Please read our campfire regulations.
Campsites are first come, first served. If you want to camp with
friends you should arrive with them. There is no limit on how many
people can come in one vehicle; however they must all possess an on-site camping ticket.
If you think you may NEED to leave the campground before the show
has ended, you should find a spot just off the road to avoid being
parked in.
On-Site Vehicle Pass
You
must purchase a vehicle pass ($30) to drive your car/pickup/RV/motorcycle into
the on-site campground. Only cab-over campers, motor homes 24’ or less, camper trailers that do not exceed 16’ in length and pop-up or tent trailers of any length are allowed on Reservoir Hill. Fifth wheels and large motor homes are not allowed in the Reservoir Hill campgrounds (please see accompanying photos for clarification). A vehicle pulling a trailer is considered one unit and must have 1 (one) vehicle pass.
Camping Vehicles - Reservoir Hill Camping
The on-site vehicle pass is not a parking pass. Vehicle passes
are only available for on-site camping festival pass holders. If you are not camping, parking
is available below the site and shuttles are free.
Vehicles used for camping will not be permitted
to leave and re-enter for safety reasons. One time in, one time
out -- no exceptions.
Satellite Camping

Satellite camping must be purchased in advance ($30/vehicle for Thursday through Sunday nights) and is limited to 11 RV sites and 15 tent sites. Satellite camping is open to those with tickets for any or all days of the festival. This area has level parking spots for large RVs and a grassy area for tent campers right next to the San Juan River. It's close to the festival and downtown Pagosa Springs, and even has its own free hot springs pool on the riverbank! Pets are allowed in this camp area, but dogs must be leashed and cleaned up after. Please be considerate so we can keep allowing pets in future years.
The closest source for drinking water is at Town Park, across the brand new pedestrian bridge. Porta-johns are provided for tent campers. There are also flush toilets and sinks at Town Park; bathrooms are open until 9:00 PM daily.
Please read the campfire regulations.

Camping Rules
- NO DOGS (OR OTHER PETS) ALLOWED ANYWHERE ON FESTIVAL
CAMPGROUNDS -- This will be strictly enforced. If you
show up with your dog, you will be turned away with no refund.
If you make it in with your dog and are caught, you will be evicted
with no refund. Service animals are of course allowed.
- ON-SITE VEHICLE PASSES ARE LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING
TYPES OF VEHICLES: Passenger cars, trucks, SUVS, etc.;
motorhomes 24' or under, trailers 16' or under, pop-up trailers (any length), cabover campers
and motorcycles. Other types of campers (i.e. motorhomes longer than 24', fifth wheels, trailer longer than 16') are not allowed on Reservoir Hill (please see chart above).
- While pickin' circles are allowed 24 hours a day, hootin' & hollerin' must be toned down between the hours of 2 AM to 7 AM. We recommend ear plugs for those of you who would like to sleep in the campgrounds - this is a picking festival.
- Generator use is prohibited in Reservoir Hill campgrounds at all times. There are full-hookup RV spaces in town, which you can locate by clicking on the "accommodations" link at left.
- All types of fireworks are strictly prohibited. If
you are caught setting off fireworks anywhere on festival grounds
you will be evicted from the show with no refund and criminal
charges may result.
- CAMPFIRES MUST BE MADE IN METAL CONTAINERS, off the ground, i.e. old washing machine drums, metal barrels, commercial-type fire pans, etc. The goal is to have no impact whatsoever on the environment and landscape of Reservoir Hill. Use your imagination -- this means no digging, no rock rings and no fires directly on the ground. Fires
will be subject to any fire restrictions in place in Archuleta County at the time of the festival. Propane grills and stoves, propane fireplaces, lanterns and charcoal grills are allowed. Check the web site prior to the festival for fire regulation updates. There are currently no fire restrictions in place in Archuleta County. Bring your own firewood; no cutting on the site..
- No vehicles are allowed in the campgrounds without a
vehicle pass, PERIOD. All types of vehicles require a
pass; i.e. cars, motorcycles and RVs. If you are towing a pop-up
camper you only need one vehicle pass for the whole rig. Vehicles
may not leave and re-enter the campground. Any vehicles parked
in the campground without a vehicle pass will be towed at owners'
expense.
- All campers must be in possession of an on-site camping festival wristband.
This includes all people on the festival grounds anytime
before or after the show each night.
- No overnight camping in the parking areas.
- No
loud stereos, ATVs, motorcycles or fireworks permitted in campground.
Motorcycles may be used as your transportation for entering the
campground (with vehicle pass) but may not be used as a recreational
vehicle inside the campground.
- Please leave your campsite looking at least as good
as it did when you arrived. We are on town property and
want to be good caretakers.
- FolkWest is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
- Campers must vacate the festival grounds by 12:00 noon
on Monday, June 7th.
